Loaction
On November 12, 1620 the Pilgrims arrived at the New World. On board the Pilgrims had worked on the Mayflower Compact. It was established so that there would be no further conflicts between the Separatists and Strangers. It was sort of like a law with rules that must be followed. The Pilgrims were actually aiming for landing in Virginia, but they blew off course North by 462.5 kilometers and landed in Cape Cod bay. Then they circled around Cape Cod to a place they named Plymouth after a town in England. In Plymouth, the soil was thin and rocky. Also, since it is more North from Virginia, the winters were more severe. There governor was elected on board: John Carver.
